How did Derwin James look?

No real impact. Very quiet game from Derwin

Yes, you can say whatever you want about TT but this draft class is looking good so far!

THIS class looks ok so far. But TT’s record other than easy 1st round picks is horrible. And his ability to build an O Line (latest gaffe with Baluga) is going to continue to haunt us and Herbert.

My first post today...hard one to watch at times...

The Good- Herbert looked sharp, defense mostly good....if not for stupid penalties and dropped TD passes, it would have been a domination. The Skins vaunted front 7 were held at bay enough by our new oline, which was really nice....

The Bad- Once again, we let a team hang around when we shouldn't, with wild penalties from Bosa, and dropped TD passes from Williams and Guyton, and 2 turnovers. Hopefully this is first game rust, and not a continuation of bad discipline culture.

The Ugly- My stomach lining, after that hand wringer...but at least we got the win. Hopefully, we can clean up some stuff. If the Skins defense really is as good as advertised, I like how well the oline held up...and really, the score should have been much higher.

I think James had a PD on that first 3 and out. I can't think of another time they threw at him.

Sharp...all over the place...tight in coverage, blitzing nightmare, almost got a pick.

Again I'll say, this board wanted Simmons and hated the Herbert pick. Give the man credit for picking a generational QB.

Derwin looked like his old self. Dynamic. He was around the ball. He was active. I was pleased with his performance.

Jones was missed...the interior was struggling in the 2nd half.

Awesome numbers.

Our offense is showing a lot of promise. I think we will need more depth on oline though. Injuries already a factor with Bulaga.

Overall, it was tough to watch us try to give away the games with badly timed misses and/or mistakes...but it ended up a win, and I saw a lot of what I wanted to see out of Herbert, our revamped oline, and the defense. Good deal...:Beer1:

On the cut block call he still made the tackle. On another play Gibson got through to the second level and Derwin came flying up and made the tackle. It was a seven yard gain but last year that’s 20-30 yards and possibly a TD.
