This is always one of my favorite things. HC's post game lockerroom speech.

How Staley framed it ("...Is anyone surprised ? ...this is what we expect...") sets us up for a seismic change in Charger Culture.

Now we start to consistently close out games, like yer sposed to.
We do not play modern football.

Only on the internet can you come "hard" at people.

Yes! It's as if THEIR bitching and their bitching alone is somehow righteous or not really whining - delusional.

Only 2 TDs in 6 trips in the red zone....well first of all it would've been 3TDs in the red zone. Second, we made 6 trips down there? = means our o-line was winning more battles.
Of his 5 incomplete passes on 3rd down, how many were drops that should have been caught? Honestly, Herbert played good enough to put up another 14-17 points. The interception was a bad pass, but that is literally the only big mistake he made in the entire game.

Here's a great quote from Herbert in the Orange County Register game story by Gilbert Manzano:

“They came off the sidelines and said, ‘Justin we got your back,’” Herbert recalled about what the defense told him after his turnover. “I appreciate that and I’m gonna go back out there and keep shooting.”
              The story is here: https://www.ocregister.com/2021/09/1...vs-washington/

It's paywall-protected, but the paywall doesn't come up for about five seconds, so it's sometimes possible to grab the story.

                Agree 100%

It's true in sports and in everything outside of sports:
"Losers assemble in small groups and complain.
Winners assemble as a team & find ways to win."
                -Bill Parcells

This was reminiscent of the 2013 game. The game in Washington, the team failed to convert in the end zone. Except this time the Chargers win.

Looked like Chargers had a fair amount of fans at the game today. Good turn out in DC

But THAT is how you win games. You don’t turtle up and hope you can run the clock enough to give the other team just enough time to score and then hope your punt team plays well and then hope your defense holds. You stay agrgressive. Love it!

Lynn would call three straight runs even if we are getting shut down in the run game,....and punt.

Never understood why he wouldn't play for a first down and run out the clock.

Woodhead grazed the pylon with the football.

If only we had the crew in NYC to make the correct ruling, like today.

                          Oh. Maybe not.
