Didn't realize Pip was in there...must have been in garbage time...those final couple kneel-downs at the end...

Pip came in as a jumbo TE for a few packages. Good way to build his confidence and he is quick enough to do that stuff.

Good win - very good win
Offense was darn good - a few drops and the bad pass by Herbert (dumb call though, take 13 out and pass to 82)

defense was pretty good -but can ge4t better

Special TEams - first quarter was garbage

Staley didn't panic - managed the clock very well

                    Officials were garbage

                    overall - very good win

Found this interesting. Lombardi talked about giving a WR like Allen a lot of gray area as opposed to 'rules' for his routes. Sounds like it paid off this game at least:

Washington cornerback William Jackson III said what made Allen tricky was that he doesn’t run “an actual route.” From play-to-play, Allen will freelance — run where his instincts tell him to go — based on the leverage the defense is giving him, Jackson said.

“It’s definitely different because you’re not running a concept,” Jackson said. “You’re just running what you want off leverage. We just got to do better.”

Wonder why Tranq only had 3 snaps...

Interesting. And Slayer and Herbie have no doubt practiced all the "freelance" variations, so Herbie is smart enough to recognize each one and place the pass in just the right spot...now, how u gonna defend THAT?
