Recap from a WFT fan/webcaster. Funny, fairly accurate, and every fan base sounds the same after a loss (or a win here).
Worth watching, venting how the Chargers offense owned WFT' defense, the OL dominating, Justin Herbert having a clean pocket making play after play, Keenan Allen wide open repeatedly. Actually, Chargers fans should watch this to get a glimpse of how good the Chargers were in this game.
To give a grade Id say a solid B+. We need to clean up the penalties that actually kept WTF closer in this game but our OL did exactly what we wanted for keeping Herbie near untouched and he took control. First game out am I happy with a B+ and a W? You bet! To be there when WFT came back and to see the lights go out of their eyes with the fumble and TD and dominance on every 3rd down was epically satisfying…to hear the Charger fans chanting in their stadium was unreal and awesome. I am utterly satisfied with a first game performance…we only showed part of the overall capability this week…wait till next week against that Dallas D. I expect some INTs coming soon by our D.
This game shows how a real offensive coordinator can design a gameplan and call plays that specifically attack a defense at its weakness and minimize it's strengths. And it also shows how a HC/OC can actually seek to win instead of not to lose. So impressed with the playcalls at the end of the game. Allen could have scored if he had not fallen down.
Who basically erased McClaren in this game? Or was it just the coverage design? Other than a phenomenal (which could still have been broken up) catch he was basically invisible.

It's hard to tell secondary stuff without the all-22 film. Michael Davis was covering him on that catch, and they were targeting ASJ early with other receivers, so probably Davis.
My other feeling is they were staying the hell away from Derwin James. He lined up in the slot with CHJr at safety pretty often.
Here's a shout out to Linsley.
WFT IDL is dangerous.
Corey called a great game.
Yep and entire OL. We heard a lot about the 4 first round picks on WFT’s DL and Chase Young. The OL and game plan neutralized them. Herbert was getting the ball out pretty quick and for the most part had a very clean pocket.
