This. I was hoping we sign him ever since we miss out on Bulaga, I do recall watching him play, I do like the signing. DJ and Barksdale on the same side should create big holes for MGIII...

Some of those end-of-contract players may yet wind up back in St. Louis, with right tackle Joseph Barksdale (-5.9) the most appealing, however....

Assuming Troutman is gone, that would give the Chargers:

      6.8, 12.6, ?? , -8.8, -5.9.

      Not terrible compared to

      6.8, -22, -11, -25, -8.8
      Thanks.

        bring it on.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Arguably the top young free agent left on the market, 27-year-old Barksdale is coming off a strong 2014 in St. Louis. He was one of the top pass-protecting right tackles in football last year. The addition of Barksdale could allow the Chargers to kick D.J. Fluker inside to right guard. Chris Watt is penciled in at center with LG Orlando Franklin and LT King Dunlap holding down the left side.
Guess we'll have to wait and see on this guy. Although I'm glad we didn't have to break the bank nor did we part with any talent to acquire him. Really cool that we picked up a couple talented RT's pretty cheaply in Barksdale and Hairston.

This is a surprise I didn't see coming.

It's also probably why they pushed to get Gordon instead of using their first round pick to grab on O-lineman.

TT did it again....and I'm a dope for being disappointed at the Chargers drafting this year.

Time for me to eat some crow...who wants to serve it to me?

No crow needed - let's just be happy we have more experienced depth and competition on the line.

Agree. If all of us here who qualify to eat crow did so, we'd wipe out the population in one season. And with the culinary knowledge on this board, someone would come up with a way to make it taste good.

LOL! As everyone can see, we get funnier as we age. Another good one, Geez. However true.

Why are people cutting Troutman? He's played 2 years. Sat his rookie year out.

He can improve. This guy is on a one year deal... who knows what is going to happen?

Don't cut a guy on a rookie deal with a year or so of starting experience.

I don't want to cut him.....I just don't want him starting until (if/when) he gets his shit together.

Troutman sucks, that's why I want him gone, contract notwithstanding.
