A guy nicknamed Condo for Buffalo at the end of the Jim Kelly Buffalo Bills era got worse going inside. But Ebenezers point is pretty valid, there may be some examples of it, but most players and coaches think it is easier to play OG then tackle, and you should be better inside than you were outside.

The one thing to note, if you look up his college highlights, Barksdale played OGish because LSU did a lot of unbalanced line stuff, and his soph and JR years, he was the guy (RT) who lined up inside, with the LT outside of him (regardless of which side they unbalanced). So, he kinda, sorta has some experience at OG, even though he started 2 season in college at RT and 1 season at LT. But even though LSU does a lot more unbalanced line then the rest of college football, that is still not very much.

The big issue is that both players need to play with better attention to technique. Barksdale makes a lot of the same type of mistakes that Fluker makes, and for a lot of the same reasons. Both bend a the waist, and that is a big problem for a player inside or out.

We still have an issue at RT, but lets remember, that is not the big problem. The big problem last year was Porkchop, not Fluker. Fluker was not very good, but Porkchop was a whole lot worse. Adding Barskdale now gives us 3 guys to compete for 2 spots. Hairston, Barksdale and Fluker now give us 3 bodies who can fill the 3 important spots. RG, RT, and swing OT. They may all be guys we are trying to replace, but they make us better then we were last year. All of them can play OT, or OG, and all 3 are pretty good athletes, with the size to excel. But Coach D has some work to do. But we had an OT a couple years ago, who most people said was not good enough to start at OT, and he has turned out to be a very good signing after Coach D got a hold of him.
