I don't mind the decision, in fact it actually makes really good business sense. The timing is curious, obviously timed to make a point, but what that point is remains unclear right now.

I don't think there is any 'point' on the timing of the announcement, other than the ownership meetings this week, so John would be in meetings regarding football ops and personnel, and AG in the meetings where business is concerned. It does show that the Chargers are tone-deaf on anything that is on-going in San Diego regarding the CSAG, but I don't take that as a positive or negative, yet. The real work happens if the Chargers and the City/County start negotiating with Dean in the lead, but AG/John taking over was going to happen, maybe just not as early as they aren't yet in their 40's.
