Her last goal from 54 yards out was amazing.

A shot like that is the type that breaks your will. I couldn't help but laugh, thought it was comical.

It was... one of the biggest goals in all world cup history, men's or women's. Probably the most memorable 20 minutes of all final games, most of the time the teams are so locked down it comes down to one goal. I think FIFA should have stopped the game there, and given Carli the Golden Ball on the spot!

After that goal, I was more concerned about the shutout minutes than the team winning, and by some accounts it was seconds from beating the record outright. Japan, being the senior team they are, didn't implode, props to them. Great tournament for the podium standers... US, Japan and England.

Carli Loyds mid-field goal with Spanish commentary is 10x better...

Here's all 5 goals sung by Andres Cantor::

While Fox’s J.P. Dellacamera did an adequate job calling today’s Women’s World Cup final, an even more legendary soccer broadcaster called the match elsewhere on U.S. television: Andrés ¡GOOOOOL! Cantor, on Telemundo. Since you were probably watching on Fox, we’ve compiled all five U.S. goals as aired on the new home…

Out-fitnessed Germany, and just flat-out roflstomped Japan. Well done!
              Prediction:
              Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

Was really the only match of the tournament that I watched. But so glad I did.

                That was really impressive.

As a reminder, Gold Cup starts tomorrow. USMNT needs to step it up, and win the outright spot in the Confederation Cup.

I can not deny I wanted The home country to win. However, what a phenomenal showing in the final by the U.S. Women. That goal from half was one of the best I have seen. Great job.....congrats.

I watched it up until halftime.

That wasn't a contest....the was the US literally taking Japan to the woodshed for some serious discipline.

An epic beat down if there ever was one.
