Oops, I meant ORG. I think it comes down to who is best, Porkchops, Barksdale or Hairston for the last OL starter's spot. And I wouldn't mind seeing Fluker take on and destroy bigger DTs from the OG spot. You cannot deny Fluker's outstanding power.
Starting 5 OL versus Detroit is ??

I wouldn't mind seeing Fluker fire out and bury a DE as a RT either.
Having a guy like Fluker as a run blocker on the perimeter can really make the outside zone running game go. If he can give Oliver and Gordon the edge or even a cutback lane, we have a whole new offense. And the technique problems he faced as an OT last year are not going to go away inside.
And as far as Porkchop goes, it is not like it is unheard of for 3rd year OL to show improvement, especially if they have been bounced around some early in their careers.
It will be interesting to see how it all plays out in TC.

Just think the Chargers coaches mean it when they say the best 5 OL are going to start, and if that is true then that means:
Dunlap
Franklin
Watt
Fluker
Barksdale
With Sirles, Hairston, Robinson, Troutman, Watts fighting it out to be the backups.

Is there still a chance some other team will cut a proven starting center and the Chargers will sign him?
Watt might end up being the greatest center of all time. But, so far, all I've got to go on is he was part of a crappy middle of the line, and then he got injured.
The San Diego Chargers and Philip Rivers don't have time to groom a new center. Let's win now.

Why do you think a team would cut anyone who could play now? If it was going to happen, it would have been a few weeks ago. Even then, not too many starting caliber OL are available as street FA.
Robinson has been a starter for Cinci before we got him. He started 7 games his rookie year, when Cinci lost starter Kyle Cook for most of the 2012 season (he was designated to return, which he did for week 13 and started the rest of the season).

I guess you gave me my answer though. We're stuck with what we got?
