    Sydney Seau will be able to speak about her father at his Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony, after all.


    Sydney will get to speak via an on-stage interview after Junior's kids unveil his bust. That's a good compromise.

                      1 -- times Seau appeared on the Pro Football Hall of Fame ballot.

                      2 -- Seau's all-time NFL ranking for games started by a linebacker, trailing only Clay Mathews, a fellow USC alum and former Brown, who had 248 starts to Seau's 243.

                      3 -- Players who primarily were Chargers and were elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in their first year of eligibility. Seau joined Lance Alworth (1978) and Dan Fouts (1993).

                      5 -- The 1990 draft slot where Seau, chosen by Bobby Beathard, joined the Chargers. Taken one through four were Jeff George, Blair Thomas, Cortez Kennedy and Keith McCants.

                      6 -- First-team All-Pro teams on which Seau appeared, all with the Chargers.

                      12 -- Pro Bowl teams on which Seau appeared, all with the Chargers.

                      19 -- California-born inductees in the Hall of Fame. Seau, a native of Oceanside, joined Marcus Allen as the only Hall of Famers born in San Diego County.

                      243 -- Career games started by Seau, ranking 12th all-time. Former Packers quarterback Brett Favre, at 298, tops the list.

                      1992 -- Seau was named a first-team All-Pro for the first time. He lauded new Chargers head coach Bobby Ross and a new coordinator, Bill Arnsparger. San Diego went 11-5 and won a playoff game.

                      1994 -- The year in which Seau not only led the Chargers to their only Super Bowl, recording 10-plus tackles in 10 games, but also was named the NFL's Walter Payton Man of the Year
