Nah. Reggie Wayne isn't Reggie Wayne any more. Wife is a Colts fan, and they're on every week in our house. Not been the same since the knee injury vs DEN a couple years ago (which we saw in person). Should hang 'em up and get on TV.

If he Wayne ends up on the Patriots, that's one more reason to not waste my time watching the NFL after this season. The Patsies, not so long ago, were supposed to be the Colts' main rival. Now they are going to end up with one of the Colts' long-time stars? Stupid.

This is nothing new in the NFL. Careers are relatively short. Some guys go to rivals for money, some out of spite, and some for a chance to win a championship...,especially as their career winds down.

wayne is no longer the complete player he was. Wayne can be a posssession guy, but we kinda have that covered with Allen, Gates and Woodhead. Plus, teams can always find guys who catch short passes. He would have helped last year when the OL was so awful down the stretch. His route running on short routes is still good, and he can adda lot of a short game. But that will always be balanced by the fact that if we just throw short, defenses are going to clamp down and jump the short routes, like they did last year. We have to keep running patterns at all the depths, and mix up the passing games to keep defenses honest.

Floyd is starting to slip, but he can still go vertical and threaten a D, giving us room to operate underneath. A big part of why Floyds production dropped off is he is not effective on the short, sudden routes. So, when our passing game becomes one dimensional (when the OL can't pass block), he is not much of a help. As long as the OL is heathy, Floyd can help us. He is still a bigger asset then anyone else we could bring in at this point, unless some speed WR gets released.

The NFL has been lame for a while.

                      You may be right.

Former Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne is visiting with the Patriots and will take a physical Sunday with the reigning Super Bowl champions, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
