Thanks for posting. Shows why Herbert looked confused. Our 4.0 student is having some reading comprehension issuesOriginally posted by Xenos View PostPopper’s postgame thoughts. He agreed with Staley that the defense played well. However, the biggest surprise is the supposed contradiction with what Staley and Keenan said versus what Herbert said about the Patriots’ defensive scheme.

Many of us wanted to double dip at tackleOriginally posted by Boltjolt View Post
Take the 75 yarder away then its 19 for 87 and 4.5 YPC. We ran ok, its the terrible pass blocking that sucked for us today.
Norton is awful. He needs to be upgraded if posssible.
because we knew pipkins and norton wouldn't cut it
while it wouldnt have been ideal to have two rookie tackles starting, it would have been better than Norton
perhaps with one of our third round picks?
Even Bulaga knew Bulaga wouldn't be playing by now.

Was impressed by the defense. Their talent isn't the greatest (i.e. at every position) but they did play with heart and discipline (mostly). Special teams, though, on coverage. Why can't this be fixed??? Was happy with the kickers, though! Perfect on field goals and extra points. Just wanted to end on a happy note. All is not lost. Done ranting, please kill the Eagles next week.

On the play where he ran into the back of an offensive lineman, the primary receiver was wide open.
He had time, he was confused
K. A. burned J.C. Jackson right away, and then New England went to zone after the first drive.

Staley shouldnt be feeling so good about his defense. Mac Jones was terrible today. A halfway decent performance from him a d it’s another blow out. When we had to stop them we couldn’t.Originally posted by Xenos View PostPopper’s postgame thoughts. He agreed with Staley that the defense played well. Why was he never promoted to offensive coordinator? He's a back-up for a reason!?!?!Originally posted by Xenos View Post
Just to be clear, Lombardi was with the Saints for most of his career. Far from a loser organization.

I am not gonna micro-analyze immediate, post game, fog of war type comments. Staley does sound the most accurate though.
Keenan Allen needs to play better for us to win. Mike Williams needs to play better for us to win.
Herbert threw many catchable balls in tight windows that must be caught.
The margin is gonna be close more often than not.
Everybody is butt hurt because it's NE again. Who cares?
We're on to Philadelphia. Qualify for the post season. Then play your best football.
It is barely November on the football calendar. It is not even Thanksgiving yet.Last edited by wu-dai clan; 11-01-2021, 06:30 AM.Boze...Center of Attention

Its kinda what we all probably know inside. Sure they lost Brady, but Belichick is still the best.Originally posted by Xenos View Post
We shouldn’t have lost to the Pats after coming off a bye.
With that being said, it is incredibly frustrating that teams (not just ours) in general are 2-9 against the Pats coming off a bye.
