Pip has not been a good left tackle. That doesn't mean he's unusable.The coaches know who he is and have a plan in mind. My guess is that Herbert will not be holding the ball long. The IOL is solid with a top C. We can work with that given Herbert's intelligence and vision and our very good receivers.
It would be nice to find that the coaches have been sandbagging a little with Pipkins.

Zone and man to man coverage MUST be maintained when Mahomes gets chased out of the pocket. All defensive backs must keep awareness and their heads on a swivel or he’s gonna kill us. Mahomes might just go more than a few designed rollouts too.

Mahomes is a fast agile runner. He’s no doubt gonna get some first downs with his legs. He’ll get chased, all his receivers on the left side getting decent coverage, no one on the right side to stop his sprint for an easy first down. Seen that. For once I’d like to see 4 Chargers not all covering one guy, and one of them break the zone coverage and stop him.
