How did Tenn and TB run so few plays yesterday?Prediction:
Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

Philip Rivers set #Chargers record by completing final 20 passes Sunday. To that point: 15-of-22, 175 yds, 2 INT. Finished 20-20-229 w/ 2 TD
As far as Allen goes, he had the stats, but if you watched his route running closely, he had an even better game. Tight coverage going into the break, DB no where to be seen coming out.
And the point of the PFF methodology is that it is supposed to account for both good and bad. In the end, Rivers had a lot more good plays then bad, so his grade should reflect that. That is the point of grading systems.
People just assume that everything PFF must be good because they do something that takes a lot of time, a lot of effort, they do it very methodically/systematically and that should make it right. But if you don't know what to look for, I don't see how you can evaluate really good and really bad in an objective manner. Some of the stuff they do is good, but some of it just makes you wonder. And the biggest problem I have is that they won't share their grading system. There is no hope that they would ever get any better, or eliminate any of their biases (like the zone blocking or the CB thing) because they won't allow any criticism of the system.Last edited by Steve; 09-15-2015, 05:27 AM.
