I fell last night. My right knee just seemed to slip. my wife is 90 years old and only weighs about 90 lbs., so she couldn't help me. So there I was, lying on the floor, unable to get myself up. I had my cell phone in my pocket so I called 911 and they sent some firemen to get me up I couldn't help but remember all those commercials I'm ready to do my commercial-now" and I laughed thinking about it. Sorry you fell, glad you have a sense of humor about it- and a cell phone. I live in a home with a lot of stairs. We loved it 40 years ago. Now not as much. I'm looking for flatter property and house. Falling is my biggest fear. I'm only 79 but have bad knees, hips and balance.
Prayers and best wishes. Hope you aren't too bruised up.

Haven't been here for a few days and am sorry to read the struggles you are having Roo. I'm still praying for you. You truly are and have been an inspiration to me.

I miss it there. The trees and the nature scene are one of the best things about the state. You're in the Eugene area. I've only been there a few times.
I believe God is our Creator and we are all created in Heaven, so to me, Heaven is home.

Think there are devices you can wear that can tell when you fall and will automatically make the call for you. Actually looking into one for my father-in-law. Anyways, I assume you're ok if you're laughing about it.

I'm holding you in The Light, Roo. May God pile blessings upon you now. Because... is there any reason why He shouldn't?

              I love you, brother.

                        Love this!

I was a dinner last night and a guy's 105 year old mother was there. Wits fully about her, participated completely. Hang in there!

Ambush grief comes from anywhere and anytime.

Being a lifelong Dodgers fan, Tommy and Isaac were as well. Watching the Dodgers win the WS this year was great but so difficult. I don't want to make this about the Dodgers though, just the ambush that occurred. As truly special moments like the Freeman grand slam in game 1 and the come from behind win in game 5 I am reminded how much they loved watching games with me (Chargers, Dodgers, and Kings) they would have been jumping around and celebrating. It makes these events bitter sweet. I am excited but overwhelmed at the same time. When the Chargers win the SB it will be like this times 100.

This starts a long stretch of hard times now. Halloween through new years day was always really special in our family. Now its something I dread, except this stretch now goes through January (Tommy's Bday month, February Isaac passed, March Tommy passed, then May is Isaac's Bday month) June will be the time this gauntlet of despair ends. Long time to go.
