But isn't Staley supposed to be a defensive specialist that was supposed to improve the Chargers' defense?

Firing the DC probably won’t change anything since Staley is the one calling the plays. At this point, it seems like it’s a roster issue.

Most of the calls were blatant penalties.

You rarely see DL called for defensive holding, but Dallas was called for it twice. And both were easy calls to make.

You can't horsecollar and tackle an OL. That's going to be called 100% of the time.

        Cowboys have some dumb-ass players

They were the most penalized team this year. It was bound to catch up with them at some point.

Shanahan is supposed to be an offensive genius. Why was his offensive ranking so shitty his first two years, and they ended up missing the playoffs those two years as well as last year? Also why the fuck has the defense been better than his offense?

Shanahan got his team into the playoffs with Jimmy Garoppolo and won a playoff game after losing Nick Bosa and Fred Warner. That speaks for itself.

That’s great that he was able to do that. Especially since you know, this is his 5th year as HC. What happened the first two years?

You think Mariota ever mentions to Derek, that Marcus has a playoff win and Derek doesn't?

Dak Prescott is tied in career playoff wins with John Wolford.

Shanahan inherited a team in 2017 that was starting Brian Hoyer at QB. He acquired Garoppolo in the 2nd half of the season and went undefeated. Then he lost Garoppolo for the 2018 season. Then in 2019 he got his team to the Super Bowl. This season he's in the playoffs again and has advanced to the Divisional Round.

Shanahan is an offensive genius though. He should have made it work on offense even with Hoyer as QB. Why was his offense still so shitty so that he needed to get a premiere defense to make it to the playoffs and the SB?
