We came in to the league together.
We cracked the starting lineup as rookies together.
We fought hard together.
We had a ton of fun together.
I’m sad to see you go brother.
See you on the other side.

.Hardwick and Olivea were drafted together in 2004. Hardwick in the 3rd, Oliviea in the 7th. Olivea was a steal in the 7th; he had torn his pec or something like that before the draft, where he had been a 3rd round prospect. He fell all the way to the bottom of the draft and AJ picked him up. Hardwick and Olivea became starters almost immediately

RIP. Really sad. Someone brought him up just a month or two ago when we were discussing the O-line. The problem for the NFL is that these rosters are rather large and a lot of player pass through the league. Very sad.

I was a bit shocked when I saw the headline for this thread - he was way too young to die. As often happens with people, we do things to ourselves that cause our bodies to fail. RIP Shane!THE YEAR OF THE FLIP!

Acetaminophen (Tylenol) will impact the liver.
Overuse of aspirin is famous for causing stomach and intestinal ulcers.
I try not to use these "analgesics" at all, but will make an exception for back pain, for which I use naproxin (which, as I understand it) is a heavier ibuprofin.
A whole lot of former NFL players are discovering that cannabis is a very attractive alternative to narcotics. It doesn't make the pain go away, but allows you to compartmentalize it mentally, so that you don't really notice the pain unless you pay attention to it. I know this to be accurate because I experienced it when I had an accident with a circular saw that came close to cutting off half of my left index finger. Five-and-a-half years later, I still have no sensation in parts of the finger, but range of motion is almost full.

I was watching Little Train highlights and YouTube kept recommending videos of classic 1994-95 Chargers games and I got hooked watching some. A real nice stroll down memory lane for me.
But I was struck by how many of those players died and died young.
- David Griggs
- Doug Miller
- Junior Seau
- Rodney Culver
- Shawn Lee
- Curtis Whitley
- Courtney Hall
- Chris Mims
- Lew Bush
Some were drugs/alcohol …Griggs, Whitley
Some were depression ….Seau, Mims (sounds like he sort of ate himself to death and was a recluse)
Some just health related …Lee had bad diabetes, Bush had a massive heart attack
And some just really really bad luck…. Miller struck by lightning twice, Culver died in the plane crash coming out of Florida
All of it is very sad
Prayers for Shane. Drugs are terrible things.
TGLike, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.
