Another x-factor weapon, WR, RB, just gotta have it. 17 games plus the post season, that’s just too long for some of these guys not to miss some time. Keep drafting weapons.

Dare I say Jameson Williams in the first and our RB2 in the 3rd?
I'd be cool with it...

Nightmare scenario... We lose KA or MW to injury, do you think Palmer and Guyton are playoff caliber WR's? I sure as hell don't... At least not by themselves. I'm not advocating for a WR in the 1st but if Jameson falls to 17, that would be a tough choice to pass for a 2nd or 3rd ranked OT or defensive player.

I guess my major point about drafting WR in the 1st round, injury potential aside, is that there are only so many footballs to go around in the course of a game, or a season. If KA is going to get around 100 catches again; MW another 75; Ekeler 70; another 40-50 for Everett; Palmer 40; Guyton 30. The other TEs and RBs another 30. That's roughly 400 receptions from the guys already on the roster. Herbert had 443 completions last season, a number that I hope goes down a bit because we're a bit more balanced with the running game. So my question is: Do you use your First Round selection on a guy who is going to touch the ball 2x/game?
To be fair, I know nothing about Jameson. Is he "all that"? Is he another Justin Jefferson? Are you drafting him to replace KA next season? If that's the plan, and the FO thinks it can get away with drafting Trey Pipkins types (Pipkins was a 3rd-rounder, I believe) - or worse - to shore up the OL, then taking a can't-miss WR is probably a good move, based on that strategy. But then the question becomes: It is a good strategy? I'm not so sure.
