    About time.

These voters just have no idea about football other than trophies. Its sad that so many non football people have been allowed to stay on as voters for so long.

what a fun team that was (Air Coryell was the team of my youth).

hopefully the chargers can wear Air Coryell uniforms for a game during 2023 season - that is the ultimate chargers helmet for me.

When I heard that Mr. Coyell is finally in the Hall of Fame, it bought tears to my eyes! If Coryell won a Super Bowl, he would have been in much sooner and he would be there making a speech when he was alive

Props to Don and the Coryell family. I can almost die a happy man now. This was way overdue. Got to see Coryell and Brian Sipe at SDSU (alma mater) back in the day. Best era for SDSU football. By far my favorite head coach spanning 60 years. Don forgot to drop off his kid at school during the season and drove straight to practice forgetting the kid was in the back seat. Oppss and don't forget the "popsicles" for training camp. Don was one of a kind. He had that scowl on his face that made little kids cry and big men almost soil themselves.

What is the chance the Chargers get to play in the HOF game? Coryell made it. Teams who play the HOF game have a representative who makes it.

As one of the old ones I can happily say that I got to enjoy his coaching in person. When I was a student at San Diego State I attended most games when he coached there. Then after he left State, I followed him and became a St. Louis fan; and finally rarely missed a game when he coached the Chargers. It was great fun watching his offenses. I regret that he didn't receive the honor during his lifetime.

I was at San Diego State in 1962 after graduating from Mission Bay HS in 1961. Almost was going to try to make team as a walk-on but went into the Army instead. but was a big fan
of his both there and at the Chargers. Like th Fan Man said, it was great watching his offenses.

that class yesterdy was so underwhelming
Zach Thomas - nice play - solid. but transcendant, no. Just a good solid football player
                      Ronde Barber - good player
Revis - had a few good years, very good years I gues

Joe Thomas - probably deserved it. But again - he did play every snap for a lousy team so he probably got "sympathy votes" for that

The NFLHOF has become a joke but thankfully they finally put in Coryell
agree on this weak sauce HOF. it would be a crime for Coryell not to get put in, especially when some B+ guys are getting in.

Was so excited when I heard the news. Told my dad the news when I saw him yesterday and he seemed pretty happy about it as he saw him coach quite a few games.
