Great pitching by the Phillies. We just got shut down. I might have gone to our pen in the sixth inning, but I’m not the manager. I trust Melvin. He has a plan. I would however bench Bell. Bring in Drurey. Let’s go boys. Shake it off and even it up tomorrow.
      Snellzilla coming up.

Both Bell and Drury have gone cold since joining the Padres. The cleanup spot has been a black hole.

At the end of the day, beating the Dodgers was pretty sweet and might have been our World Series. Pretty good step for this franchise to take, especially without Tatis this year.

The Phillies have been raking the entire last 3-4 weeks and don't look to be stopping any time soon. Hopefully the franchise can build on this and put together multiple years of playoff appearances in a row. You can't push for a title when you're only making the postseason once every 15-20 years.

Tough especially because Darvish pitched great and two runs in seven innings you’ll take that all day. Sometimes you just gotta tip your hat and Wheeler was just a little bit better. Wheeler is starting to look like he might go on a Josh Beckett or Stephen Strasburg type run and carry his team. Gotta bounce back tomorrow and swing it.

Padres bats took the night off.
Not sure how others feel but Bell gives me no confidence when he is at the plate. His average with is has to the pretty low.

Drury has been in slump and hope he can come out of it like tomorrow lol.

Soto has been a monumental disaster since the trade. Dude is like afraid to swing the bat. He looks to walk and has zero aggression. He's the JC Jackson of the Padres but worse because we gave up a ton of prospects to get him.

The Padres are having no luck in this game - all the Phillies hits have been flukes but they have 4 runs.

Back to back by Drury and Bell. That should give them both some confidence. Soto needs new sunglasses.

In Soto’s defense as a outfielder that is the worst feeling in the world when you can’t find the ball. My frustration with him is how about ambushing a first pitch fastball once in a while? If we know he’s a patient hitter then so do the pitchers.

What an inning!!! Bell and Drury finally coming around. That was a sweet head first slide by Kim. Glad they replayed it. I was highly impressed that each guy that came to the plate was patient. Nobody tried to be a hero. Straight base hits. It’s…… bullpen time!!!!!
