My father passed in June. He was 94. He introduced me to football and the Bolts starting with Balboa Stadium downtown. Hadl, Alworth etc.

I truly don't understand the pessimism on this board at times. We were 9-7 last year and you think we could actually lose 2 more games with the massive upgrades we made on D and at RG? Not to mention Staley having a year to learn from his mistakes and Herbert actually in the second year of an offense for the first time since high school. Yeah the division is tough, but geez - if we don't win at least 11 games, I'd be shocked (assuming Herbert plays).

Time will tell. As I stated before, of the last 10 games we have, only 3 of our opponents have a winning record and we have the 28th easiest schedule left so I'm not as pessimistic as you. Most of our remaining opponents have choked away as many or more games than we have.

Best of the rest is too funny! You need to factor in the injury bug getting worse and no one caring to risk their health if we start tanking.

Richpjr always has been the board optimist. Here is a glass half full take. Maybe these injuries are not the worse thing since they are happening now and most (minus Slater and most likely Jackson) will be back for the final month with not a lot of wear and tear minus their injuries.
