I imagine we will know by tomorrow morning how bad Herbert is hurt. Best case, bruised ribs and he'll be fine in 10 days.

Should have just protected Herbert and kept him from coming back in. It was an important game. But still only one game.

I noticed that...those two hits on Herbie were on Feiler...our weak link on the left side...

I don't even think you need a TO in that spot, just huddle up and make substitutions

Instead, the personnel grouping on the field was called to the line to take advantage of the momentum, and the Chiefs personnel package. So, Everett stayed in the game.

The staff compounded the problem by making Everett the hot read on his hook route and the defensive back beat an exhausted Everett for a Chiefs Pick 6. In hindsight, you call a timeout and regroup, & talk over the playcalling.

^ this...Everett was gassed...bad call to go no huddle...wasn't that call also on Lombo?

Agree..... Chargers dropped 2 pick sixes....
2 other interceptions of bad Mahomes throws were called back because of a penalty and the ball barely touching the ground....
As soon as we lost our all pro center, Jones started to dominate..... Hurting Herbert..... likely cracked or broken ribs......

they had the line before the SB and lost them the game before.... and without them TB dominated KC....

Just a thought, Everett could have told Herbert he was gassed, taking him off the hot read. Everett may have missed the cue to go inside for the pass. Herbert will take the high road that it was his ball placement though, so we won't know unless Everett says otherwise. Where was MW on that play?

You mean when they lost 45 - 0 against the Bucaneers?

Erich Fisher left the AFC Championship game with the Chiefs up big against Buffalo.

                    Their interior was healthy.

You were just missing Mitchell Schwartz, which was a big deal......but you were missing one player leading up to the Super Bowl.

Lose two olinemen, and you were buried in the Super Bowl.

So you proved my point. Losing two Olinemen is a big deal, with questionable backups.

If the Chargers lost one of their guards, they would have been fine.

Very happy with the Bolts....without the refs, or one mistake that resulted in a 99 yd int return for a touchdown, flipping the scoreboard, we are hanging a loss around the Chiefs necks.

Defense is for real. Offense is flashing, but we need to get healthy and consistent...we will be fine.

The pressure was not against Clapp. Feiler had a horrible game tonight against Chris Jones in the second half after Johnson had completely shut Jones down in the first 2 plus quarters before Spagnuolo shifted Jones over to Feiler's side.

Rib injuries suck. It looked like Herbert was not in charge of his body on that little incomplete flip pass in his last drive. For the life of me I don't know how he mustered up the courage/strength to make those accurate last throws after that. That was special. For me that was enough. I've had a debilitating rib/back injury and it literally feels like your body is split in two. He showed me a lot there.
