If he continues to play, it will be for the love of the game and POSSIBILITY of a quick turnaround. Note, I personally do not think Rivers will ever see the playoffs again, at least not as a Charger. Too many bumbling idiots running this team and the spectre of the LA move is going to drain the life out of this team for AT LEAST 2016 it appears. Just a goddamn fucking shame.

I honestly don't think he would survive another 3 year rebuild. And that's assuming the 3 year rebuild even puts us as a playoff caliber team. Furthermore, will he still be a good QB in 3 years? Too many unknowns. The best we can do is to hope for another quick turnaround like 2003 --> 2004.
