Oh, but we'd be 5-4 and still in the playoff hunt! Doesn't matter that we were pummeled by the 3-6 Jags; embarrassed by the Seahawks (at home), and trashed by the 49ers.

they’ve been protecting him and he’s been protecting himself. Hardly any sacks as he’s checking it down. Who really gives a shit about 300 yard games v 250 anyway. Is that a playoff tie breaker?

*unless we win it all this year*
Getting Bosa & Slater back could help.

I’m just gonna smile today because goi g into this game with the guys we had out at WR I didn’t know where production would come from. Just bottle that second quarter please and thank you for closing out the game.
we had more guys injured during a bye week than we did before which is unheard of. But the gods smiled on us when big 95 on the falcons dropped the ball and Feiler pounced on it. And who here thought we could depend on kicker #3 in the clutch. After our history with kickers.

Posting from the road home after the game.
Pretty funny to read the game thread for the first time knowing the end result.
My rambling thoughts on the game:
A pretty ugly win…but another close road win with early start.
The offensive line is not good. Very little room to run and Herbert is constantly bothered even when not hit. Fieler’s play has dropped significantly.
Bandy showed again why he is only getting snaps because we are wiped out by injury. The first 1 yard pass everyone was bitching about was 1 yard because he ran the route strait to the sideline and had no room to turn upfield. He could have gained 5 or 6 yards if he throttled down a tiny bit. He was getting no separation all game.
Tranquil gets a lot of praise for his hustle and the occasional nicely timed sack…but he sure gets caught out of position a lot and a lot of the runs up the middle went right through his arm tackles. The TD where he got run over was brutal.
I’ll echo the complaints about Murray. All the big runs outside seem to show him in the picture getting sealed off and the DBs taking poor angles.
Not sure how anyone can not give Staley at least some credit for having the most injured roster in the entire league held together with duct tape with a 5-3 record. The usual posters claim we are lucky but teams make their own luck. Are we good enough to compete for a championship the way we are now? Nope. But…will we look the same at the end of the year as we do now? Staley has some growing to do and if he must somehow fix our run D or it could end up costing him his job. But how many teams could lose so many players and not be affected?
