We actually played much better than I thought we would. Our run defense was better than I thought it was going to be. The sad thing about that is we still gave up 157 yards rushing.

We can call a spade a suck..didnt understand the kitty cat pick, especially since it was a 3rd rounder. I guess in the 3rd rd is where telesco thinks he can outsmart people and say I got a gem without spending a fortune in picks or top round selection on...but they never pan out. I think I could throw a dart at the draft board and hit on more...facetious???...hmmmm...

Telesco at the time said that getting a blocking tight end was paramount to the success of Lombo's offense.
They had no tight end (Cook/Parham) at the time who could block worth a damn.

Same reasons why in this game as in every game - receivers rarely open, QB harassed and forced to dump off over and over again.

Roll Herbert out. Get him out of the collapsing pocket once in a while. It would do wonders for his mentality. Make him a weapon again. The guy is looking like robot out there

That would take away from their precision passing attack, where inches matter.
Receivers would have different angles to the qb, if you roll Herbert out.

Steichen did that shit (rolling Herbert away from Tevi) and got booted.
Remember how whiz would put Ekeler wide at times....he got booted.

Yeah that about sums it up. We're on our 2nd LT, our 3rd RT, WRs 5 & 6 & DTs 218. I don't think you could assemble an All Star coaching staff from past and present to overcome that.

In 2020, Herbert had two WRs with sub 4.4 speed and were 6-1, 6-2, who could stretch the field. Right now all he has is 5-8 DeAndre Carter and his 4.4 speed.

I think the line was hampered with Sarell and we would have ran more if Pipkens was in. SF D was fast. I’m just glad we didn’t roll out with Norton. Otherwise Bosa would have had a monster night.

This is like watching a boxer with a busted arm try to fight...just ugly and sad...

All we can do is try to muddle thru KC without any more significant injuries, and pray for healthy returns to give us juice in the stretch.
