I don't. It would be one and done in the playoffs and we would keep the current staff. I'd keep Staley & Ficken, let the GM and other coaches walk. Don't need to wait for the end of the year, could do it right now. There was no excuse for the Oline tonight, it comes down to coaching and lack of talent. Same with the dline, couldn't even stop them when they knew what was coming. I know t was a close game, I was screaming for the win, too. But as a fan, I want more from these guys than a win every other week, and for that to happen they will have to do some house cleaning. Tomorrow's not too soon to start.

Dolphins/Titans games probably seal our fate, I'm sure we bumble at least another game in there. Doubtful even if they get to 9-8 that it would be enough.
they would have to go 4-3 the rest of the way to get to 9-8 but I’m wondering if even 4-3 from here on out is attainable for this injured riddled version of the 2022 chargers

A good head coach brings in a solid coaching staff. Staley hasn't done that. Staley is not a good head coach.Originally posted by jaguarmanftype View Post
I still see potential in Staley, but he needs to be less loyal, less player friendly, and more of an executive of the team. He has brought on some decent coaches here, but he'll need to churn through most of them until he finds the right coaching personnel for this team. Ryan Ficken and Shaun Saurrett are stand outs as was Frank Smith, but he's with the Dolphins staff now. Lombardi and Hill are nothing more than position coaches if not assistants. If he doesn't cut them loose, it's his job to lose.
A great head coach develops his own assistants.

Kelce is a HOF player. But with the Chiefs down 3 receivers in this game, you would like to think a defensive coach could have come up with a plan to double cover him. He kills us every game

Really? Maybe it's based on all the other injuries to our offense? He looked pretty good ro me today. MW playes 2 series, no Everett, Keenan in and out of the lineup, backup RT for a time and OC.Originally posted by Berserker76 View PostHerbert sure seems to be regressing to me, and I don't think it's due to his injury.
Not to mention yes he had broken ribs for some weeks.

Hate to say it but Herbert doesn’t have the magic that Mahomes does. If KC need a fg to tie and had 30 seconds and all 3 TO’s most people would probably agree that he finds a way to get it done. Herbert doesn’t find a way. He has the physical tools and maybe mental ones as well but he doesn’t have “it”.

How many years does Staley get a mulligan? If his 3rd season is much like the previous two, do you give him a 4rth season?Originally posted by Fouts2herbert View Post
