good work personnelwise by KC.... Creed Humphrey was great value round two, Trey Smith was someone we coulda had 3/4x over, who is hellah good, and they brought in Joe Thuney.... pretty good IOL.

they brought in Orlando Brown, and.... their HC knows Oline.

on the other hand, our Oline has sprung some leaks/has some holes in it.... 5 sax, 8 TFL

Tom Telesco: 74-81. Two playoff appearances.

A.J. Smith: 95-65. Five playoff appearances.

I'm not saying A.J. Smith shouldn't have been fired, but I think the records say it all. We didn't upgrade by going from Smith to Telesco. Quite the contrary.

JT Woods is getting more snaps but no results
        Spiller got some snaps. Meh
Jerry Attaochu is better than the Pitt PS guy. Mistake not making him active when we needed pressure.
asante had a very mediocre game.
MW had one beautiful toe tap catch and reinjured his ankle

anybody coming back this week? Everett? Kelley?

really wonder if the Spanos will learn from their lessons of late.... was it necessary to go the 2 + 2 years w/the both of McVisor & Anthony Ray ?? is it wise/necessary to go four years w/Staley ??

and if for some reason they do let Staley go, does John Spanos step out from behind the curtain and take responsibility for the hiring ?? not sure how involved he might have been w/the McCoy or Lynn hires, but gotta believe he was front row and central in bringing Brandon in ??

personally don't think it's quite a slam dunk that Staley will return, albeit and obviously his fate woulda been much different if not for the slew of injuries, and.... where do you draw the line within Stalesco re: responsibility for bringing in injury concerns as personnel salves ??

can't/won't say unequivocally, and.... the suspicion is that it rests within the scheme of things ??

Agreed. Murray had no tackles and is always in the wrong position or gets pushed around easily. Is just me or did it seem like the defense played better without him? Put in a decent HS LB and they could do as well as Murray. I think he goes beyond talent and affects chemistry. Listed at 241 but I bet hes no more than 225 the way he gets man handled.

LOL!!! I thought you were talking about Murray, not Chiefs. Easy mistake if you reread it.

Guys, cheer up. At least no one can say that we've never had a Lombardi now. Albeit we didn't win one, we can say that we were able to rent one out for a couple years. We hoisted him up and put him behind a glass case (to call plays) where he still remains to this day.

sorry, deleted the post by accident, and yes.... was referring to Murray, as not sure he is as good as either of the Chief's second round LBs ??

He has the physical tools and maybe mental ones as well but he doesn’t have “it”.
I wont say that conclusively, Herbert is still only 24, but I do get the point you are making

Mahomes is very special, in a league for his own for magic and is the best QB in the NFL.

Herbert is smart, competitive and has all the tools. I think he is great and I am happy we have him. But there is a perception outside in the NFL that he has to start winning some big games an make some playoff appearances before he can be in the same coversation with Mahomes or even Allen. Plus Burrow got the Bengals to the SB and Tua has a good winning record etc. Alot is injuries and Lombardi, Chargering...but fair or not thats the perception out there.

But if the Chargers did bring ina Peyton or a great coach, and invested in a variety of offensive weapons and speed and surrounded Herbert with that like the Chiefs do for Mahomes. i have little doubt Herbert could go far in playoffs.

Yup wondered that myself. Kelce always kills Chargers plus Chiefs were down 3 receivers. Why was there not a better scheme to stop the main weapon including some double teams

If Staley and Lamebardo stay, I see Herbert going to another team. Especially with Spanos as owners.
