Hate to say it but Herbert doesn’t have the magic that Mahomes does. If KC need a fg to tie and had 30 seconds and all 3 TO’s most people would probably agree that he finds a way to get it done. Herbert doesn’t find a way. He has the physical tools and maybe mental ones as well but he doesn’t have “it”.

Mahomes is healthy but Herbert still isn't...

Mahomes has #1 weapons (Kelsey) healthy but Herbert healthy weapon is #4 (Carter)...

Andy Reid is an all time great Hall of Fame HC.
24 Years as HC. He has 1 Championship.
And it took his best QB he ever had Mahomes to do it.

Staley is 1 and half years into his HC career with a winning record overall. I want to see how this continue to develop. Special Teams is no longer an issue.
Very competitive in spite of injury.
I'm happy Brandon mentioned there's too much focus on the past. He is creating his own thing. As he should.

Herbert is not stupid. He sees the game calling and preparation regardless of injuries. Staley lost the team after Browns 4th down call and when Keenan said "WTF are we doing!™ Game over!!!!

It bothers me too, but Staley is still young and not set in his ways. I think he has the intelligence to learn from his mistakes.

But he lacks the NFL coaching experience to properly make adjustments.

Its not 'x' doesn't work, so we'll try 'y';

its more like 'the only way I know how to do things is not working, what do I do?'

And his narrow network of NFL coaching connections that he depends upon which brings in 2nd rate coaching hires, for the most part:
that is not going to change.

I really start doubting that you are a Charger fan. You were all in on keeping Lynn now you are all in on keeping Staley.
