This. The "everyone else" question is the talent level TT has left us with. The lack of quality backups is killing us. Critty was right, we barely lost to a team with a future HOF coach and QB, even with all of our injuries.

Inconsistency in officiating affects all teams, yes. It ends up looking choreographed. THE most legitimate complaint is when officials change their stance midgame.

This game was decided, in a football sense, just before and after Halftime.

Ekeler's great run should have led to 7. With first possession in the second half, the Chargers made errors. This exact thing has happened many times before.

We needed to play a complete game for 60 minutes. Fail. No excuses.
      We play modern Harball.

Honestly: I see these two teams very close. Very close. Every team has areas of weakness and is one key player injury from losing close games.
As stated before, divisional games are tightly-fought contests for the most part, sometimes in spite of the ineptitude in coaching. You have to account for the totality of the season and the other opponents we have faced, and even look to prior seasons with the coaching staff that's in place to render verdict. As we can see, we still have mostly the same unaddressed issues that harken back to last season and that's on coaching.

The timing of the calls make all the difference in the world.
I completely disagree. Absolutely not the case. See Chris Jones penalty for bad language on a game ending play vs Indy. That call took a win away from KC. This game I could show lots of holds that the Chargers were not called on. Lots. Bottom line. Too much time was left on the clock for PM and your defense folded. Plenty of chances for the Chargers to win it incuding before the half not getting the TD.

How about the flag picked up after the helmet to helmet hit on Schuster last week. He was knocked out. That was a huge game changing non call and he is likley out a couple of weeks.

I guess this doesn't include two sacks by uncovered blitzers:

I laugh out loud when I see the words "playoffs" and "wildcard" in posts about the Chargers. This team has shown NOTHING, all season, to convince anyone but the most diehard of fans that this is a playoff-caliber team.

People are so quick to scold the board's pessimists, of which I am one. But the optimists are also worthy of some criticism, as they consistently look past the team's obvious failings and just paint a rosy picture going forward with nothing other then their optimism to back up their lofty predictions.

This is what I say to all the playoff posts:

Man, Michael Davis is still the best corner on this team. What is it with us getting good players in UDFA?
