This game was decided, in a football sense, just before and after Halftime.
Ekeler's great run should have led to 7. With first possession in the second half, the Chargers made errors. This exact thing has happened many times before.
We needed to play a complete game for 60 minutes. Fail. No excuses. We play modern Harball.

After all the Chargers were all over the KC defense and Mahomes was pressured etc. After all the Chargers had lots of guys out so KC should have cruised.
Honestly: I see these two teams very close. Very close. Every team has areas of weakness and is one key player injury from losing close games.

The timing of the calls make all the difference in the world.
How about the flag picked up after the helmet to helmet hit on Schuster last week. He was knocked out. That was a huge game changing non call and he is likley out a couple of weeks.

I laugh out loud when I see the words "playoffs" and "wildcard" in posts about the Chargers. This team has shown NOTHING, all season, to convince anyone but the most diehard of fans that this is a playoff-caliber team.
People are so quick to scold the board's pessimists, of which I am one. But the optimists are also worthy of some criticism, as they consistently look past the team's obvious failings and just paint a rosy picture going forward with nothing other then their optimism to back up their lofty predictions.
This is what I say to all the playoff posts:
