There were people on this forum - alleged Chargers fans - who said Herbert was the 4th best QB of his draft class.

Oh HELL no! In that draft class I think Herbert is 1A and Burrow is a 1B. Tua is a good QB this year that got benched his 1st 2 seasons...so he's distant 3rd. Who else was in that draft...I forgot.

Immediate post game reactions: Michael Davis fantastic. 2 fluky TDs for Miami that should not have happened. Hope Callahan wants to return next year and they could have their top 4 corners.
Herbie phenomenal. Imagine him with Hill and Waddle. Guessing almost all his yardage came out of the pocket.

Maybe the blueprint to stop Tua is clear after their last 2 games. Looking at the schedule I like the Chargers and Jets to get in.

I admit that predraft I wasn’t a fan of drafting Herbert and wanted to keep Rivers. I still love Rivers but admit I was wrong, Herbert is special.

This game ended the Tua Herbert debate for me. I hadn’t watched him outside of highlights this season and Tua has good numbers. But he was outclasssd in this game. Tyreek Hill made 2 plays or this was a blowout.

having said that, 3rd quarter and red zone are still big problems we need to solve.

I hope this puts the Payton rumors to rest. Our head coach put together a heck of a game plan. Herbert is healthy, Williams is healthy this team is trending up. This team is trending the right way for the playoffs. Screw Payton we got our coach.

The NFL is hard and even harder when you’re playing with a complete MASH unit. You’re right about straining wins together and I’m bullish on the chargers getting hot at the right time.

Acho was at the game and Shawne Merriman found him, and put a head lock on him... all in fun of course.

Regardless if every play worked perfectly, this was a masterful game by the coaching staff. Staley had the D fired up and he completely out coached this year's wunder coach McDaniel. Tua looked lost and honestly their O only earned a single fg tonight. The fumble was a fluke on a great play by the D and the on the pass to Hill where Davis was in perfect position and unluckily tripped.

On O the usual Lombo sucks stuff was posted but we put up over 400 yards, held the ball for 39:38 seconds, had a game clinching long drive for the fg in the 4th and did not turn the ball over. And this with Herbert running for his life because our offensive line was so overmatched. To the people who says injuries should not matter - amazing how we had our signature win this year in the first game Allen and Williams played the entire game together. Injuries do matter. Can you imagine if we had Slater and Pipkins playing?

We should now be favored in our last 4 games and as someone posted, if we beat the reeling Titans and the Bills beat the Dolphins in Buffalo on Saturday, we pass the Dolphins in the WR position.

It's a good time to be an optimist.
