I was very surprised he didn’t go for 2 there. Ultimately wouldn’t have mattered thanks to Herbie, MW and Dicker

If the Titans had gone for 2, and gotten it, Dicker's FG still would have won the game for the Bolts.

The possibility of the Titans converting a 2 point PAT is what made conserving the clock mandatory for Staley.

True but had he went for 2 and got it, we still had time to go get a FG

How many times in the past have we "controlled our own destiny" only to lose a game we shouldn't have lost? Two good wins in a row is great. But the real work lies ahead. There's no room for a slip up.
          It’s a MNF game? Ewww.

Can't wait to read the whole thread.
A few things I'm confused about:
            1. The SJD rant, wth?
            2. The Allen non-catch looked like a catch to me,am I wrong?

a few thoughts, didn't like the playcalling again throughout the game.
Titans defense looked like they knew exactly what our predictable offense was doing, especially when passing.
Herb was off, I think he just got unusually antsy because coming off a game last week vs Miami and now being in a defensive struggle, it was frustrating. he redeemed himself when it mattered.
            loved K9, loved Gilman.

Okay, saved worst take for last...
is the defense as a whole functioning better without our best defensive talent?

            Thanks,
            Flame away.

-- Michael Davis - beast. How many years we kept drafting DBs, always a constant hole? But Davis along with ASJ and Callahan may be the best group of DB's we've ever had. (No, I'm not advocating keeping Telesco, let's not go that far, lol.)

-- Congrats to Gaziano & Rumpf on their first NFL sacks.

-- Ekeler was a beast as well on a drive where we needed somebody to step up big. Dude plays with some heart. Gotta give it to him.
I'm always a bit tough on Electric Ekeler because I know how good he is! Austin Ekeler is a special player and when its all said and done he could be an all time Chargers great!!!!! Slayer made some key catches and Mike is always clutch and for sure a big game WR like when he was in college!!!!!!!

In regard to the game, this was really a defensive battle sort game. You get those type of games once and a while, and real football aficionado's love these sort of games!!!!!!!!

As a matter of fact Coach Staley out coached the titans HC which was great to see. I really don't like to bring up this guy so much for obvious reasons but Super Bowl winning Al Davis got it right when he said, "Just Win Baby" and that is exactly what we have been doing as of late! Good enough.

It really is a no brainer, you hand it to Henry and live or die with that for the win. Again it was great to see the younger Staley out coach the vet HC!!!!! Staley is getting better and learning on the job which is all we can ask for from a young HC at this point.

Agree with #2....it was a catch and should of been challenged.

Seems the defense is better since Tillery left. Coincidence? Gilman seems to have made a step up as well. Murray slowly improving. Fohoko was in on some run stuffs, Van Noy getting some pressure of late. Rumph had his first sack today.

Lombo almost lost the damn game today ..... that's what it means to me.

One short field td with a Herbert dime on the run, and nothing until more Herbert heroics.

This team would never score a point if Chase Daniels was starting, unless the D or special teams scores.

                        Understand.
But we have to get a score if we're down 15-14.
We still had OT once they didn't and it was 14-14.
So no pressure on Chargers to have to score.
Again, I think Staley plays for 2 and the win/lead which adds additional pressure to the other team.
Who has it better than us?

The rush D looks better since Tillery left. He like to do pass rush move on run downs. He will wash his self out of plays.
