Both games are meaningless, and certainly not worth getting someone important hurt this late going into the dance, I want the wins too but right about now it sure would be nice if we didn’t have to worry about herbert taking a cheap shot in the next two weeks, if only we had a halfway decent back up QB….play herbert a half and let the backup play the second half…

I think it’s worth mentioning that kris rumph seems to be blossoming right before our eyes in the last two weeks, he’s playing faster more decisive and with better technique…
agree, that its better for players to suit up every week and go through normal warmups, and maybe play some to keep sharp.....

Rump has looked better against 2 bad injured OL's..... but he is tackling better.... he has always brought pressure but before he would slip right off players he was attempting to tackle.....

        The coincidence is cutting Tillery.
Defense has been much better since. Jerry routinely washed himself out of the play and was on the ground on run downs doing dumb ass spin moves for no reason.
Who has it better than us?

Forget all the nitpicking, I’m celebrating.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
          Let’s win one for Mack.

He does add a playmaking quotient (probably one of the very few who can make a play on the ball and catch an INT reliably), but I like how tightened up and locked down our defense is without him in the rotation. If Staley is willing to allow more man for the other CBs with Derwin in there playing close to the line, or in coverage like Polamalu, then I'd be for it. But I notice a tendency to drop back to soft zone with Derwin in there.

There is a chart on ESPN showing all of Herberts pass locations.... all were less than 20 yards and most less than 10...... Lombardi is wasting that talented arm

Raiders are officially "past history" and no longer a factor this season.

Chargers’s D has been outstanding since they cut Jerry Tillery.

                  Coincidence? I think not.

Might not a coincidence, you can’t underestimate how one guy can affect a defensive meeting room…the defense is playing the best it has under staley without it’s highest paid players too, staley deserves a LOT of credit…

                      D. James is lest needed in that defense than J. Bosa.

Stop me if you've heard this one....

My biggest worry moving forward is the Oline.

Slater needs to be back by wildcard weekend.

                          I would agree.
