I'm hung up on BPA over PON with our 1st pick. I like our starters and the #2's? Not sure what the coaches think but we have players.
Cap & FA will play a role. For me it's Staley's BPA choice at 32.
I know I'll have a guy I like but not much chance that Mayer will be there so?
      Later.
The BEST move Spanos ever made in his staff hiring is cap guru Ed McGuire (architect of the CBA - Collective Bargaining Agreement). It gets no better for cap magic imho.

Statistically, offensive line is the safest position to draft in top three rounds, I think we do need another edge…as for drafting a WR, I think the chargers might just do that this year probably somewhere in the top 4 rounds…

one thing is for certain, this team is going to have the luxury of drafting for quality depth for the first time in a while…in the next couple of years it’ll become less likely that the chargers will need to start rookies like they have recently…

Who is not coming back whatsoever this year is what I'd like to know.

Slater could but should he? I'd hate to see a reinjury. Had we missed the playoffs no way he'd of come back nor should have.
Austin johnson? My guess, just a guess tho and based on these types of injuries and assuming there weren’t any set backs with his surgery should be ready to resume working out by march or april, he’ll be brought along slowly during TC and might be able to come back in the first few weeks of 2023, the safest bet would be around October, but so much depends on there being no nasty surprises post surgery and as he begins to go thru physical therapy…

Looked him up: he's listed at 5'5" in one place, 5'6" in another.

I'm sure i remember 5'4" back in the day.

BTW-- The powder blue jerseys and white pants looked awesome yesterday. IMO, it's the best color combination they wear all season.

We tried that once but it didn’t work out at all. I’m hard pressed to remember a single speed receiver that we’ve drafted over the years?

I do like your focus on the 32nd pick

The Chargers invested their last two 1st round picks in OL. In 2023 they should pick BPA, but I would lean toward getting a new weapon for Herbert, depending on who's there at #32 or wherever the Chargers pick late in the draft.
