I think if they're not going to LA, they could go either way on McCoy.

A year to build the stadium? In California? As to your point, if the Chargers (or Rams) move to LA, the coach will have no job security until they build a decent record. Strangely, JDR with the Raiders has the most stability, even after their 7-9 record, because that team is improving. Fisher and McCoy are not improving, and will only be care takers until the stadium situation is clarified.

It's interesting that I haven't heard of candidates from playoff teams. Maybe everyone has figured out that being a member of the Belichick tree isn't necessarily a road to success as an HC, but you would think that there would be some interviews set up with some of those 'bye' team coordinators.

Mularkey might be kept in Tennessee, if they can't get Kelly. Kelly might even sit out this next season, to expand his possibilities in both the NFL and P5 College football... he has millions to sit out with.

Anyone think there's anything to the "Saban to Indy" thing?

I could see it. Especially if he wins it again this year. His statement earlier this year (maybe it was preseason), about how the expectations at Alabama were tough, or something like that. Plus, he has the ego, and doesn't want to be seen as a failure at the NFL level.

I think Saban is set in 'Bama. Daughter and Mother have moved to Birmingham. I could see it him moving to Indy only if Irsay gives him complete control, and that won't happen with that idiot.
