Because this mayor finally had the stones to tackle the stadium issue (unlike previous idiots we've had in charge) and put a very generous offer on the table (better than any other city's offer) and Spanos gave him and the city the finger.

Maybe because in 2014 he said the team was shooting for a 2016 vote for a new stadium, and in 2015 he did everything he could to get out of town?

Yeah I'm confused as well.

Spamnoses and greed and ticket guarantee and cheap-asses and dumping star players and ignoring old-timers and whatnot have been grumbled about for years. The Spanoses have always been an issue for some people.
