I hope he has already made the decision. Is there really anything he is going to suddenly realize that he doesn't already know? But sadly, he is probably wallowing in indecision as usual.

        Lombardi has to go.
Staley will likely not be fired. Not how Spanos operates

Dude's worked out for ELEVEN NFL teams recently. (Including Chefs)
IMO he's like a Young Kurt Warner.
          Sign Peyton (Pay Saints #1 2023 and #1 2024).
          Petyton can coach him well!
Heard he will bring in Fangio

          Trade JH (Get a #1, #2, #3 in 2023, a #1, #2 2024)

Draft: We have our own #1, our #2, someones #2.

Trade INJURY PRONE Bosa, get #2
Trade INJURY PRONE MW get a #2

          Draft: We have a total of a #1, #2 Replace Bosa, save $cap, #2 Replace MW save $cap #2, #2, #3, #3
Sign a lot of good FA's with $ saved from Bosa and MW.
This team gets injured alot so SIGN SOLID DEPTH. With good coaching, we can survive it.
Can now afford to re-sgn Tranq, Pip, Callahan.
          Release Filer, Nassir

OR,...Just bring in JIM HARBAUGH, (He hires his long time favorite OC - David Shaw.) Brings in Fangio who was his DC at SF during . SD College, Stanford, SF, Minchigan. He. Just. Wins. Cheaper winning option. Keep Herbert.

          Regardless:
WR: Draft Remegio from Fresno State in the 4th!!! (*Ty Hill 2.0) Can be a slot guy.
Staley built a foundation with aggressive never say die mindset/no fear. JUST NEED TO LEARN TO HANDLE SUCCESS (le...having a 27 point lead)! Norv and McCoy built teams floundered in the face of adversity, but Staley built a different mindset of courage. Can now build off of that. Time for completing the construction.
          Keep Ficken!!!
LOL I know Nathan Rourke! Not personally

But is a Canadian from our home province who played for the BC Lions and lit up the CFL at a record pace this season before he got injured. The kid has talent and moxy. Not sure how big he is or how he will do in NFL but he is definately getting signed and not coming back to BC Lions in CFL

Hearing he is getting many offers, some with nice guarentees. A bit of a competition to get him. His work outs must be impressing.

Wont happen today. Dean has his meetings during the week so Mon or Tues. He isnt swift reacting at anything.

Do you realize they only had 4 possessions in the entire 2nd half? And 3 of those they got inside the opponent’s 40 yard line. It wasn’t like they punted 5 times or turned it over.
The problem is that the Jags had 4 possessions in the second half as well and scored 3 TDs and a FG! I can't pin this all on the O though - if the defense makes one single stop in the last FIVE drives the Jaguars had, we win the game. They didn't...plenty of blame to go around.

But I agree to an extent that Herbert doesn't seem to have that magic/it factor right now. I do worry that some of the draft pundits may have been right about him being a little too subdued or "by the book.". His teammates seem to love him, which is huge.

Maybe Harbaugh coming here and turning him into a game manager surrounded by a strong defense and running game isn't such a bad idea.

That's the problem with losses like this - it makes you question EVERYTHING.
I think Herbert would be better in a Shanahan system. Where it's a running team that sets up easy play action passes. But that was the system Lynn was running and Chargers dumped Lynn who is now the assistant HC of the 49ers.

We switch to pass attack team using short pass to keep ahead of the chains with a token running attack. Chargers will never be a consistently good running team in this type system.
Herbert will routinely throw for 4500 plus yards every year with much of those throws being short throws.
If the Chargers bring in Payton, wouldn't there be a good chance he keeps Lombo and Sean would certainly run the same offense that relies heavily on the short pass.

Harbaugh would likely be a run and play action team like Lynn was. At the end of the day Justin has to get it done on the field. And he had every chance a QB could ask for yesterday and he didn't get it done.

Who has it better than us?

He had a lot of batted passes his first two years but seems like a lot more. Whoever runs the O next year needs to work on cleaning that up.
Yes the batted down passes is getting a bit ridiculous

Well truth be told, WE can't do anything about it except grouse. AND root for Buffalo in the playoffs as it cannot be the Chiefs.......PLEASE!!!!!!

We were not a great running team at the end of the Lynn era either, averaging less yards per carry than we have either of the past two years under Lombardi.

When Dean moved the franchise in 2017, their focus was to win over Los Angeles and create a fan base. Remember their "fight for LA" campaign (see the vid)? They failed. Then Herbert dropped into their lap, and he looked at first to be the brightest young star in sports in his first season. So their chance to capture the hearts and minds of LA sports fans was revived, they just had to build a team around him and find the right coach. But that didn't go exactly as planned/hope, and last night's debacle threatens to blow up any chance they had to win over a fan base. IMO, the only thing they (the Spanoses) have left is to make bold decisions to show they are determined to build a winner around the talent they have. And IMO, those bold moves must be making a coaching and possibly GM change.
