Lol at the Mexico City can't afford an NFL ticket. Have you been there? Have you seen the prices in Polanco or Santa Fe? Property values? They host larger events than a lot of NFL cities and those events do incredibly well. There are some wealthy, wealthy areas.

Exactly what were those ticket prices set at? Five pesos a seat?
Mexico City has more people than New York City does, and the income inequality would even make Ted Cruz cringe. There are millions there who aren't even as rich as the poorest homeless person in San Diego. But there are far more rich people in Mexico City than there are in San Diego. Shit, there are more rich people in Mexico City than there are people in San Diego.

I attended a Chivas-Americas match in the Aztec stadium back in the day. Cheap seats cost next to nothing but they were sold out. The better seats cost me about $100 American each, and I got some of the final seats left. People were selling even better seats for more money outside the stadium. There were probably 100,000 people at that match.

                I'd fuck it up.

30-man rosters. Players go both ways. Cuts down on the specialists built to break people in half and cause all these injuries. Cuts down on the specialists built to be broken in half and suffer all these injuries. Cuts down on expenses, which will allow me to require owners to charge affordable prices to fans. Puts a premium on durable athletes - not necessarily the fastest and the strongest.

No coaches on the field. No speakers in the QB's or defensive captain's helmets. Players learn from the coaches during the week; then they are on their own during the games.

Performance enhancing drugs are legal. Let's stop pretending the game is clean. Let's stop punishing only the few who get caught.

Teams caught cheating Kraft-style have all their championships erased, and they don't get to draft anybody for 5 years.

Teams caught cheating the salary cap Bowlen-style have all their championships erased, and, for five years, they don't get to sign anybody else's free agents.

No punting. No field goals. No extra points. Everybody goes for the first down every time. A touchdown is worth 7. The only kicks are kickoffs.

Announcers are always two drunk, yet knowledgeable, fans - one rooting for the home team, the other rooting for the visiting team. Steve will announce for the Spanoses - we just have to get him drunk first.

Eye gougers are banned from the league. The NFL doesn't need unnecessary injuries.

Intentional chop blocks or any other dirty offensive-line Bill-Walsh-style blocks result in the entire offensive line being suspended the following week. The NFL doesn't need unnecessary injuries.

Receptions will be legit if the receiver catches the ball and has two feet down.

Holding is legal. This will result in fewer injuries and fewer subjective referee calls.

Defensive holding and pass interference are legal. This will result in a successful pass play being exciting as hell and not just something that happens on every drive. With the O'line being allowed to hold, receivers will have more time to get open so it wouldn't an impossibility. There would be more running plays, resulting in more time being eaten off the clock, and, therefor, fewer injuries.

The draft will be decided by luck the first year's round 1. Then, after that, the order will just rotate from round to round and year to year. No more sucking for Luck.

I changed my mind. No draft. All rookies are free agents.

Owners get to profit $1 million per year. Any excess earnings go to the city that subsidizes their business or it goes to the charity of my choice.

NFL ratings would fall, I'm sure. But I'd like the game a lot more.
