i agree that college is way different in the tackling dept, but i was actually referring to his charger games. they would often blow the whistle on forward progress because the DB could not bring him down. hoping for the best next year for QJ.

Yeah QJ merely needs to attend a good NFL WR training course/regimen with emphasis on catching fundamentals. He's gotten away from being bigger, stronger, faster at the college level at the expense of not refining his technique.

If you watched Steve Smith's video, he was focusing a lot on route running and body tells. He has some technique to learn, as do almost all college WR.

Have them throw in a class exercise to keep running hard all thru his routes too. He’s got a lot more in him than we saw on the field, fire our WR coach while we’re at it.

He has stuff you can't teach. And he can be taught the stuff he doesn't have.

Kellen Moore knows moore than me, obviously. But it felt to me like he never used Johnston to his strengths. Why not have him run simple crossers to get his confidence up, make the short catch, use his run after catch?

Don't write him off yet.

Vincent Jackson's catch% was way worse then Quentin's was as a rookie. As a matter of fact Quentin is actually ahead of where VJ was his first 2 years imho.

I'm going to put on my POSITIVITY DREAM SCRENARIO hat on and hope somehow QJ improves like this.

Devontae Adams had an eerily similar bad rookie year and had a great QB as well. Adams didn't really improve until his 3rd year.
