Can we call it a beginning ?
Moore finally got the memo. The best way to use QJ is in isolation outside threatening to beat is man down field.

Absolutely should be the 3rd WR to start the season. He and Palmer are totally different guys with different roles. This was the draft to take a guy that compliments Mike and Keenan. And gets deep. A little joystick twitchy fella. This is why i was so heavy on Addison/Flowers and Gibbs at RB. This team needs that HR hitter type to compliment Allen and MW. Has nothing to do with the WR room and depth chart. It has to do with 11 personnel packages and scaring the shit out of teams with a 3 headed hydra that is unrecoverable with 3 guys that need 5-6 guys to contain. QJ is 1v1 and doesnt do much. Even on the PIs today those balls bounced off his hands. He is not scaring anyone. Just the way it is right now and the window was this year given the cap hell we put ourselves in next year. I just dont think he was the right pick. Honestly. Not for this year at least and i really felt that with Mikes injury history we needed a guy that could step up if he went down. Not a raw player who is meant to come in after one of our guys is cut. I wanted firepower this year. And only Mike stretches the field until Guyton gets back.
Addison was the right pick there. Just the way i feel about it. Kincaid or Flowers help immensely as they are NFL ready. Im tired of hearing how we wouldnt know how to use them...they are ready now and it shows. I would have loved moving up for Gibbs as well. And this is not hindsight...i was all over these guys.
I kid you not...that toss from herbert on that TD was a change up. He took a little off that.

Ain’t tryin to pile on the young man, but he needs to get back to the lab and put some serious work in. His upper body remains stiff as a board throughout much of his route running. I know I’m not the only one noticing this. Vs NYJ Sauce smeared him when they were matchup up and it’s not hard to see why. I still wouldn’t bet against him eventually getting there, but his arrival sure doesn’t feel imminent.

That said, Q is our guy now. He's coming on. 4-4 RECs, 1 TD plus two big PI draws all helped the offense notably on Sunday. I put zero blame if a guy drops a ball he is interfered on, its fine. Herbert is starting to look at and go to him more, I expect him to build on last week in GB. DBs are still jamming him at the LOS more than most, as he learns to beat those jams he will get even better. Moore could do a favor and get him in motion and off of off the LOS on more plays too in the meantime - like what they do with Hill effectively in MIA.“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

If they bounce off QJ they bounce. So be it. He lets up on throws so they are not coming in so hot...he also has to fit it in an area that QJ will be able to scoop it. Just throw it bro and play your game. Dont change for a WR. You still want a guy that can catch a ball in the general vicinity. Allows your QB not to worry about his throw to a particular guy. Its the equivalent of throwing a pitch underhand because a hitter can hit a fastball. He needs to develop his skillset. Thats fine....he might be fine long term. But i wanted instant help with serious long term upside and ceiling. I didnt really expect Addson and Flowers to show legit #1 skills. And im mainly referring to Addison right now. Kincaid is also just a total stud. I really would not mind using a first on Bowers if he is there. And id think about moving up into the late 1st or early 2 for Sanders. He may climb like Kincaid and Laporta did. If we end up with a coach like Ben Johnson TE will be an important piece. As much as we need defense i still dont mind beefing the hell out of this offense.Chiefs won the Superbowl with 10 Rookies....
