Just wanted to bump this because Tuli seems to be going under the radar a bit this year in the NFL, not surprising, but a bit more surprising is that he seems to be going under the radar with Charger fans too...

before entering 2025 season Tuli had 13 sacks in 20 starts, I don't have the pressure numbers for the first two years but they're good...

in 2025 Tuli has 12 sacks in 14 starts and is only 1 sack away from tying his career total on the season, he also has like 65 pressures, both statistics put him in the conversation with some of the best pass rushers in the NFL this year, I think he's tied for #4 in sacks and is only 1 sack below the guy who is #2 in sacks with 13...Tuli is on pace to get 16 sacks this season which would put him one sack from the franchise record of 17 shared by 3 different Chargers, Leslie O'Neal, Shawn Merriman, and Khalil Mack...

I think it was the guys from GAC that said he's in the top 3 in QB pressures with 65, If I'm not mistaken Micah Parsons was in the lead with 70 before getting hurt, Tuli is on pace to go over 80 for the season which to put it into perspective is like Max Crosby territory...

Tuli's development along with so many other youngsters on the roster is what I've been most excited about this season...I think we need to recognize Tuli a bit more, he might not fit the prototypical profile of and Edge player but he's producing like one of the best in the NFL...

Tuli has been great this year and earned himself a nice second contract at the young age of 23. Definity been a breakout player for the Chargers this season.

Mentioned a couple of times as a Chargers MVP or deserving of an extension in the various Power Rankings.

Myles Garrett leads the NFL in sacks by a big margin, 21.5. 2nd most is Brian Burns with 13. Then there's Nick Bonitto and Micah Parsons with 12.5. Then there's Tuli and Danielle Hunter with 12. Tuli is sharing some elite company.

Oweh has 7.0. Mack 5.5. A guy named Joey who plays for the Bills has 5.0.

As a team the Chargers have 40, 2 more than the Texans, tied with Pittsturd for 5th most. The Broncos lead the league with 58.

There is a knock against my adopted bolt Tuli in that his production is a tad more dependent on coverage (effort sacks) and that's valid but what matters is the production.
and his technique is improving, watch his hands and forward lean. That along with being complimented by the athleticism of Oweh has resulted in a career year.
            absolutely a must-re-sign.

3rd in Tackles for lost and 5th in Sacks. Super young. No off-field issues. Sturdy frame. Got better every season. Still has room to improve.

I think this knock you mention is a bias you have, a pre-formulated opinion because his quick pressure numbers are up there with Micah Parsons this year, Mack was out and Oweh wasn't even a Charger yet and all Tuli did was throw the fucking defense on his back, he still notched like 6-7 sacks during that stretch...we all saw it, his production only improved when the team needed him the most, the defense was hurting and Tuli turned it up a notch...Tuli has been a rock and his pressures are real, not the product of great coverage, Tuli has been getting into the backfield so fast, he's got 19 tackles for loss because his get off has gotten so damn fast that he lives in opposing teams backfield, the guy is a disruptive force and he has arrived...to say that his numbers are a product of coverage sacks is factually incorrect, yes he has gotten some hustle sacks, true, but most of his sacks have been come from immediate pressure...

I've watched a lot of great pass rushers over my 45 years of being a charger fan, the great ones are always going to keep working and never give up on a play, it's one of the things that separates them from the rest, Tuli is relentless like that and that's a good thing, hustle is not a knock, you and I aren't seeing the games the same way, I see Tuli is creating for the other players on both run and pass plays, his quick penetrations are getting other people better matchups, tackles, and sacks...Tuli is up there now, he is literally one of the most important players on our defense, he's become indispensable, he's one of those players that if he misses time the defense is going to be different and not in a good way...it's absurd that he's doing all of this and still playing on STs...

                  Consistent pressure matters greatly.
Your guy is right there with Bonitto.

Tuli 7th in splash plays by DL, Mack 8th, and Oweh 20th. Chargers actually have 3 in top 20 and Texans 3 in the top 25....

Oweh is loving playing for Minter and LAC. Full-season projected for him as a Charger is what … 13 or so sacks/year. Extend him now before he hits FA.

What is Tuli gonna cost? Is he really in the $20M APY range still? The top Edge players are getting over $40M now in latest contracts, its not just Parsons.
