It’s funny. When I researching Johnston, I saw some plays designed for Davis and was thinking, man is he fast. He is really, really fast. Like Tyreek Hill fast.
I look forward to him returning punts and to Moore designing some plays to take advantage of what he does.
This is a great pick.

He will put on some weigh and will pick up some speed once he gets in an NFL training program. Not too worried about it.1- #11 Bowers TE 7a- #225 Boyd DT

If he came from Northern Iowa A&M i'd be more positive.
I also noticed the guy has very little shiftiness, or elusiveness to his return game.
He basically outraces people to edges.
Checked his 3 cone time: he didn't run it.
Checked his 20 yard shuttle: pretty pedestrian.
He's short, has really short arms, a very poor vertical (30''), ran a limited route tree,
he's years away, if ever, from being a productive receiver .... and i'm not certain if his return game translates to the NFL.
The first few bobbles and he shoots down the depth chart.

Someone said he runs upright. He only gets upright once he is up to full speed. He is running so fast, the friction from the ambient air molecules pulls his upper torso slightly backwards so it looks like h’s lower trunk is ahead of his upper body. At that speed, it’s like a re-entry force. I’d bet the top of his body rises by 2 degrees on runs as well.
havre no fear, the upper and lower will stay connected and not burn up during re-entry.“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

Good punt returners need to make the first person miss, and i'm not seeing it on his highlights.
I don't see him faking anyone out.
