I have nothing against drafting from a top program given year (TCU was at championship game) opposite to draft from ND no matter what every year.

Everyone looked bad vs Georgia! I suspect we keep both Stick and Duggan. Which will be the backup remains to be seen but Stick obviously has been in the league longer.

this move is partly about getting QB coach Doug Nussmeier's voice in the room, he is our OC in 2024 if all goes according to plan.

Moore and Nussmier made something out of Cooper Rush who had even less athletic skill than Duggan coming out of college. Rush had a crap arm in college and played at a MAC school. Yet he looked really good last year starting when Dak was out. Supposedly they spent extra time with Duggan leading up to the draft and they see something. I was hoping Rush might sign here as backup but ain't happening apparently. Maybe they build Duggan into a Rush type player. We can hope.

We have our goal line Flame Haired Tim Tebow. Watching this guy reminds me what QB play was 80 years ago. I like strange birds in the NFL. May Richardson and Duggan find niche places in the NFL to keep it interesting.
