I dont think you need to use first rounders for safeties. Id like to go after Bosa and bolster the DL. Then look at the 2nd or 3rd for a Safety and Center.
Welcome Dwight Lowery

Lowery's strength, way back to college, has always been his football knowledge according to his coaches. I think what Telesco is trying to do with this signing is add some stability to what should be a very young secondary. Lowery is a former college CB, not a lights out hitter, is more quick than fast. But he can attack the ball from the FS spot and he is not going to get fooled or be out of position too much.
Here's hoping he is not Jimmy Wilson part II!
TGLike, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

Lowery is a fallback guy in case the other players you are counting on don't pan out. He is a good player, but he is not going to do much more than hold a starting job. Which is better than handing a starting job to a rookie and then having them fail miserably.

I think bonehead's point was that, last year, we handed a starting job to a rookie who failed, not that Gordon was an old safety.
I made the same point about Watt last year (I guess he technically wasn't a rookie, but he might as well have been.)
Hopefully the team has learned its lesson.Last edited by Guest; 03-10-2016, 06:44 AM.
