So we let Jerry keep his #4 and we trade him our #3 so he can take Bosa and Ramsey. We will have then traded out of the first round and get his #34, his 3rd for this year if he has one, at least his #1 and #2 next year and God knows what else. With #'s 34 & 35 we could hopefully take Ryan and there will almost certainly be a D-lineman with a 1st Round grade sitting there.

NFL.com just pointed out that DeMarcus Lawrence is going to be suspended for 4 games, and they were thin at DE even before this was announced. Now their two best pass rushers are both suspended for the 1st 4 games next year (Randy Gregory is too).

I would love to be able to drop back a pick or two at a time. Keep stiring the pot, keep adding quality picks, even if we don't necessarily get "full" draft chart value for our picks. The key is add as many quality (2nd, 3rd and to about mid 4th) as possible.

I doubt any of this happens, but that is my sportscenter moment.

I'm thinking it IS gonna happen and the Browneyes will be fighting hard for it. I'd like to see them swap 1st round positions with us- but we get Joe Thomas and if they have a 2nd this year we get that too. Otherwise we get Thomas + their 3rd this year and maybe a conditional pick for next year based on how many snaps Thomas takes or something. Then Cleveland takes Tunsil to replace Thomas. If we still have the #8 we could wait and see which of the best DL guys are left (Buckner?, or if Bosa falls like some think) or entertain offers to move back a little further, or maybe take Stanley or Conklin somewhere along the way (then look to trade or move out Fluker if we have too many OTs). Still hope we land Kelley, but getting Thomas and another Blue Chip OT who could start inside for 1-2 years would be prime.

I am pretty sure it will cost them more than that, the Chargers currently hold the Golden Ticket!!!

I am admittedly clueless on draft trade values. A few days ago I mentioned reading something about Jerry Jones being in love with Ramsey and willing to trade up to get him and was told flipping 1st round spots with Dallas wouldn't even get their 2nd rounder this year. And that was before the Browns/Eagles trade. Common Wisdom is we really shouldn't drop back lower than pick #10 if we want 1 of the highly rated OLs, DLs and now our selection probably just got better because of the 2 QBs expected to go 1 & 2. If people value Ramsey, Tunsil, Bosa, Jack, Elliot as top 5 picks- that helps us even more if we find a serious trade partner.

Besides comparing multiple trade value charts, it would be nice to have a good feel for what we could reasonably expect to get if we flip back to #4, 5, 7, or even #8 like the Browns scenario I threw out there. I agree with Steve that we need to come away with a Blue Chip OC and find a way to stabilize OG if we want to actually make an effective fix on our OL this year- but what I've read of Tunsil's injury history and maybe bad personal decision making scares me away from him and it would be stupid to overpay for a 2nd tier OL just to fill a need. Adding Tunsil + King Dunlap gives us 2 injury worries at LT right out of the gate and probably a lot of starts by Hairston again. Bosa and Ramsey scare me as top 10 picks on the defensive side too. If by some chance TT can pull off 1 or more trades to teams desperate to have any of those 3 guys in our 3 spot, but not for us moving back too far and get a couple extra quality picks I would be thrilled.

I'm starting to wonder what Fluker's trade value is? He might be the odd man out at OG after the draft and with him being still under his rookie contract maybe attractive to teams looking for a starting RT with more upside making RG money?
