Hardwick was 295 when we drafted him and pretty much his whole career since he has a hard time keeping weight on. At the most he was listed as 305 which is what Max Unger weighs.

Understood. But Tuerks playing weight wasn't 290 or 295. He's put on that weight since his injury. He's 20-30 pounds lighter while practicing and playing. It's going to take some effort on his part to gain some weight

He'll compete but with the ACL injury at his size he wont be ready to start competing until almost the beginning of the season. As well as needing to put on weight and get stronger. Plus not being a shotgun center, he's got some work to do before he is ready.

Tuerk said he’s about seven months out from surgery and his knee feels great. He’s been running and has no limitations in the weight room. “Once we get him here and have our hands on him every day, we’ll have a better determination on when his start date will be,” Telesco said. “But when he’s ready to go, he’ll certainly be competing for that spot.”
