As for the focus of the thread at hand. I think we can beat the Vikings. Winning against Minnesota would be huge, they were the NFC North champions from a year ago.

Per the LA Times the line is now Vikings -1.5. They go by Fan Duel.
by the way, they picked the Vikings 27-24. “Chargers keep getting burned by big plays, and big plays are the calling card of Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison.”

Would also like to see JH doing more roll-outs, and not be a sitting-duck when the pocket collapses. This was one of my biggest complaints with Lombardi. Only have one suggestion for the defense: no more of those stupid 15-yard penalties. I know the refs aren't consistent, and favor certain teams and players at times, but that's the way it is. You don't need the extra shove on the QB when he's going down and a slap to his helmet will probably hurt you more than him. Those personal foul penalties can be real game-wreckers.

Minnesota hasn't run the ball well with Mattison as the lead back and Akers will probably take a little time to acclimate.
Do that and if the pass rush comes through to disrupt Cousins then the game has a good chance to be won.

I just can't see how we're going to defend that Minny offense. JJ, JA, Hock and now Akers are pretty formidable and Cousins could be one of the most underrated players in the whole NFL. That said, we should be able to score on them and force the game to be close till the end. Sadly, I have just not seen anything from this team that says they can pull out a tough close hard fought game. Something will get in the way whether it be coaching, a missed assignment or old just plain old Chargering. Vikings win 34-27. Ugh...0-3.
Staley era motto: More of the same...I'll ride the wave...where it takes me.

Going 0-3 before playing the Cowboys on national TV, can’t let that happen. A win at Minnesota is crucial, not necessarily in regards to the standings. It’s crucial to determine if Staley has or hasn’t totally lost the locker room. Lose to the Vikes and an almost certain loss to the Cowboys and Staley will definitely be replaced by Moore as interim HC at the bye. So let it be written, so let it be done.

While this is the expected norm....that doesn't always go the Chargers way. He will see the field and I hope he doesn't have a "make McVay sorry" game at our expense. It just fits our M O for him to go all Barry Sanders against us.
