I bet the Raiders purposely withheld until very recently which QB would start for them !

They certainly were hazy about their intentions. The news through out the week was Garrapolo was practicing, but hiding that he still had not passed out of the concussion protocol. Conventional wisdom was Hoyer, the veteran backup, was ready to go, but from 'sources', O'Connell had most of the practice snaps with the first team offense.

I would like to give a big F YOU to CBS for not carrying a late game here in the East. They have the Bolts as the only game on their 4pm slate and we get PBR instead here in Atlanta. I remember reading either Wednesday and Thursday or Thursday and Friday that Garap was still in concussion protocol and not cleared even though he was practicing somewhat. I think it was right on NFL.com.

I want to win every game. I can't hope my team loses just to get a new head coach or GM. If we truly suck, it will show and they will go. But I would prefer the playoffs instead.

Just seems like it was a surprise for a few national pundits. The decision is certainly popular for Raider fans. Raiders could have ben straight up with the news, and the Chargers still wouldn't be ready.

Overall, the only "convincing" victory this team has had in a year was back when they beat the Rams on New year's day. They handily beat a team in disarray the way they should have. Then again, there was the 2021 disaster in Houston where it seemed like Staley was thinking it was a bye week. Am thinking Staley should be fired during the game if we see the second coming of Brock Purdy.
