I've been wondering about this? I think he hasn't because it looks like he's not trying to lead with his helmet. But still...he puts his body in a way that almost always leads to Helmet to helmet contact eventually.

Herbert has to play better.
Not only did he miss some wide open throws. But Aikman pointed out that he was late on his read and made a poor throw. Saying it should have been a walk in TD. If Aikman is saying the play call had the opportunity for a walk in TD.....then it's hard to get upset at Moore and Staley. Isn't that exactly what your supposed to do...put you player in a position to win. Create easy pitch and catch opportunities.
I'm going give JH10 a break and say he had an off day. Like a pitcher who doesn't have it that day and the slider hangs over the plate for a 3 run HR.

I want to see how Herbert responds at KC.
Throwing strikes. Working fast. Not missing Allen on the double move. Not late on the read. But on point and tossing dimes.

I think Staley has made our OL look better then it is by running plays that take little time toi develope and he is using at least 2 TE's all the time to help out..... but Herbert still is getting pressured..... he does not want to get hit and fumble so he gets rid of ball quickly..... he has so little time, he cannot trust it the few times where he has plenty of time....

The injury is affecting him too.... and because the running game is so bad, and defense is so bad, Herbert knows winning and losing is all on him..... that is a lot of pressure..... he may have been our leading rusher?

Without the Cowboys special team blunder the offense really scored 10 points. 17 isn't enough to win most NFL games. So losing by 3 doesn't mean
much. The offense failed. The defense also failed in the critical situation. But they at least gave us a chance.

There is no run game. The offense is inconsistent. Herbert has not looked sharp at all for most of the year in clutch situations.

The defense is a mess.

We're not going anywhere until the problems are fixed.

Bears - W 3-4 (but bears playing better each week, unlike chargers)
Jets - L 3-5 (hope Herbert survives)
Lions- L 3-6 well balanced tough team
Packers - W 4-6 (but it is at packers)
Ravens - L 4-7
Patriots - L 4-8 (they always beat us no matter how bads they are)
Broncos - W 5-8
Raiders - L (split) 5-9
Bills - L 5-10
Broncos - L (always lose in DEN and split) 5-11
Chiefs - W (meaningless game against chiefs backups) 6-11

We will have to find 4 more wins and not screw up those we should win........to make have a shot at playoffs.

Wrong. That was with Lynn. Staley got a win against KC in week 3 of the 2021 season at their place, when he went for it on 4th down late in the game, and the team had an awful/horrible kicker in Vizcaino.

Pass rush is the only thing the defense has going for it. But outside of that, it's really bad. Coverage is bad. I notice Staley/Ansley lets the CBs give opponent's WRs cushion. The team is bad at covering regardless of whether they do that or not. The team is not that talented.

We'll see if Guyton coming back helps the offense. It may push QJ to do better.

He can't with with broken ribs or broken fingers. He gets no help from this organization so far.
