Let's keep our Cox off I.R. Wives need to be kept happy or football season will be difficult to watch.Originally posted by SFWfromESPN View PostI wasn't trying to insinuate they only go with 4 WR's. I was saying there is already quality depth at the receiver position and they need to focus on other positions that have much less depth.
Think of it this way........what would be more damaging to the team, Floyd or Cox going on IR? Or Cam Thomas or FLoyd going on IR? The answer is never Floyd.

When did I ever say we needed Starks? Hell, I was the first one who pointed out how terrible he and his teammates protected Ben. In the first PS games I said he had to get a helluva lot better in order to make this team. He only got worse. He rewrote the book on terrible last Thursday. I wasn't a fan of McKinney either. Dunlop was a "meh" for me who now happens to be are starter. I think our o-line will still be one of the worst in the league this year even without an injury to a starter.Originally posted by SDfan View Postbut if they DIDN'T sign a vet OT (Starks, Mckinney) and put all their faith in uproven King Dunlop and he got hurt or really sucked- we'd be back to starting Harris at LT and some people here would be in Den's camp wanting TT fired and going all negative for not having a backup plan there.
Where I chastise TT (in terms of the o-line) is the fact that all he has done long term for the line is replace Vasquez with Fluker. Next year we are going to need a bunch of new guys on the line.

That depends on whom we sign this week. We are $4.96M under the cap right now. If we bring in a lot of vet players that will shrink. We also don't know how much has to be budgeted for Freeney's performance bonus.Originally posted by Beerman View PostYea it's a show me signing. The 160k got him to SD. Ok so we now definitely have enough for whatever signing bonus needed for Butler's extension.

Not really true but whatever. I agree they still need many OL upgrades but Fluker replaces Clary who isnt a RT and a better OG. Vasquez wasnt that great as a OG and im glad we didnt pay him the 24 mil he got from Denver. If you ask me, he is a downgrade for them and he is dinged up already. Rinehart though on a one year deal is better than Greene was who didnt make a roster this year.Originally posted by Den60 View PostWhen did I ever say we needed Starks? The OL depth is crap so i expect a add on or two through cuts and draft picks next year and or FA'cy.
